THIS HUMAN COPROLITE WAS PRESENTED TO US IN 1906 AS HAVING BEEN PASSED BY PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN IN A PRIVATE LAVATORY AT FORD'S THEATER. ON THE EVE OF HIS ASSASSINATION AND SAVED BY AN ALERT ATTENDANT. THE CLEVER CON-MAN HAD CONSUMED A MEAL OF TERRAPIN SOUP, VEAL AND OXFORD PUDDING, DUPLICATING LINCOLN'S DINNER ON THE DAY BEFORE HIS FATEFUL VISIT TO FORD'S AS RECORDED ON THE WHITE HOUSE MENU. THE SCOUNDREL THEN PASSED THIS TURD AND CLAIMED IT TO BE THE PRODUCT OF THE GREAT EMANCIPATOR. MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION BY A SCEPTICAL DR. POE REVEALED TRACES OF A COMPOUND FOUND IN NECCO WAFERS (A CANDY TREAT) MANUFACTURED AFTER 1887, THUS MAKING THIS STOOL A MORE RECENT DELIVERANCE. WHEN CONFRONTED WITH THE CLEVER DR. POE'S EVIDENCE THE FECAL FORGER FLED, LEAVING HIS PRIZE BEHIND AND HE HAS NOT BEEN HEARD FROM SINCE.

NIGHT'S LITTLE ONE - FOUND NEAR TROYES, FRANCE IN 1873 THESE MUMMIFIED REMAINS ARE ASSUMED TO BE THOSE OF SOME FORM OF SMALL, ANCIENT DEMON-LIKE ANIMAL, AS THE ACCOMPANYING LETTER SUGGESTS. IT IS KNOWN THAT A MADAME ROLANDE BROUGHT THE LITTLE BODY TO PHILADELPHIA IN 1881 AFTER THE DEATHS OF HER HUSBAND AND TWO SONS UNDER STRANGE CIRCUMSTANCES. MADAME ROLANDE THEN GAVE THE HIDEOUS OBJECT TO HER PARISH PRIEST FOR SAFE-KEEPING. AFTER THE CHURCH BURNED IN 1922 THE CREATURE AND IT'S LETTER OF INTRODUCTION WERE OBTAINED BY OUR INSTITUTION. ACCOMPANYING LETTER AS TRANSLATED BY PROF. D. L. NEAL - MY DEAR PHILIPE, HERE HE IS, NIGHTS LITTLE ONE, AS HE WAS FOUND BENEATH THE CATACOMBS, AS YOU SAID HE WOULD BE, NOW YOU MUST TELL FATHER IT STILL EXISTS, MAY GOD GUARD HIS SOUL. I TOO, MUST NOW BEAR THE CURSE OF HAVING GAZED UPON THE EVIL CORPSE. TELL NOT A SOUL OF MY INVOLVEMENT IN THIS FOUL ENTERPRISE AND NOW QUICKLY DESTROY THIS LETTER.
